Smelly & damp vibes, avoid!
We stayed here and honestly, it was a letdown. The room had this awful wet dog smell. The shower barely worked. The carpet was nice but the place overall felt old and worn out. The bar/lounge area was chill though. Just be prepared for some damp smells in the stairway!

Had a lovely stay, enjoying the cozy room and the great shower – just what I needed after a long day! The calming spa services and a nice lounge area really help you unwind. The only downside was the lack of breakfast options, but I’d still recommend checking this place out for a comfy stay! 😊

A total letdown
I was so hyped for my stay, but it was rough. The room was not cleaned right, found hairs everywhere. Plus, the private bathroom I booked was shared! The bar area was cool, but I couldn't enjoy it. Honestly, I had to ditch the place and get a Travelodge instead. Just not worth it.

Great place for solo travelers
I had a pretty solid experience. The self-check in was smooth and simple, got my room code through a text, all good. and the bathroom was almost new, felt like I was back in my prime.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly, it was acceptable for what I got.

Checking in at The Alexander was straightforward. Received my room code via text, which was efficient. The location is decent, with bars and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, but the basement location made it feel cramped and claustrophobic. No natural light and a damp smell permeated throughout. The bed had a thin foam mattress. I struggled to sleep comfortably due to the uncomfortable bedding. The bathroom setup was unsatisfactory. the shower offered a weak flow, and there was no shower curtain, leading to water everywhere. The toilet was excessively loud during use, which was distracting. Despite these issues, the Wi-Fi was functional, but barely usable due to poor connectivity. I couldn’t enjoy my stay like I had hoped.
